cleverbridge Announces the Opening of a New Office in Taipei
New office enables cleverbridge to meet growing demand within the Asia-Pacific region and help support global clients’ online growth strategies in the region
cleverbridge, a provider of ecommerce and subscription billing solutions for monetizing digital goods, online services and SaaS, announces the opening of a new office in Taipei, Taiwan. Along with cleverbridge’s Tokyo office, the Taipei office enables the company to better support its growing Asia-Pacific client base and help global clients successfully sell online in the complex, fast-growing region.
According to Forrester Research, the total online revenues in China, Japan, South Korea, India, and Australia will nearly double from $733 billion in 2015 to $1.4 trillion by 2020. Having sold into the region since 2006, cleverbridge has experienced the Asia-Pacific ecommerce surge firsthand with rising client demand and online customer order volume. In 2017, nearly 40 percent of the company’s new revenue came from Asia-Pacific B2B and B2C clients, including Qihoo 360, CyberLink, EaseUS, Glarysoft, iMobie, iMyFone and AOMEI. The companies rely on cleverbridge technology and expertise to convert more customers, reduce churn and scale globally – all while managing the complexities of the global compliance landscape.
“We’re seeing tremendous demand for our ecommerce and subscription billing solutions from digital businesses within the Asia-Pacific region, as well as companies looking to us to support their online growth strategies in the market,” said Craig Vodnik, CEO, cleverbridge. “Our increased local presence in the region will not only better equip us to help our clients thrive in this complex market, but will also help us continue to evolve our platform and services to better serve our clients’ growing Asia-Pacific customer base.”
“Selling into the Asia-Pacific ecommerce market requires more than translating your website into a foreign language. It requires aligning your offering with the unique tastes and trends of local customers and localizing the entire customer experience – from the payment methods that you offer to how you provide support,” said Danielle Liao, Sales director and General Manager, cleverbridge. “With our Asia-Pacific offices, local expertise and extensive portfolio of languages, currencies and payment methods, we’re able to help clients successful sell into the region by providing their customers with a highly localized online experience that ultimately eliminates barriers to conversion, reduces churn and increases customer confidence.”
One such client is China-headquartered EaseUS, who turned to cleverbridge in 2017 to increase customer acquisition and retention for its data backup, data recovery and disk management software product line. “As we continued to scale globally, we saw an opportunity to provide a better and more localized digital experience that customers expect, along with the payment methods they prefer,” said Yu Tao, Director of Marketing, EaseUS. “With a simple integration, cleverbridge gave us the ecommerce solutions to provide the best possible online experience, enter new markets and grow our online revenue. They’ve not only helped us improve conversion rates and increase global sales, but continue to provide ongoing analysis, guidance and testing to help us grow and serve our customers.”
