cleverbridge Business Continuity Plan to Covid-19

13th March 2020

In light of the global spread of Covid-19 and as a company that has employees around the world, we have been monitoring the situation for some time.As a company that prioritizes safety and security, we have taken precautionary steps to safeguard the well-being of our employees and their families while simultaneously ensuring business continuity for you.

We are closely monitoring the rapidly developing events around the world by following the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Robert Koch Institut (RKI) and local authorities in the cities and regions affected. Our priority remains the safety of our employees, their families, our partners and you, our clients.

We would like to inform you of what we have done and will do to minimize any disruption as possible for your business:

Remote work

Over the last few years, we have created a work environment that affords our employees the ability to effectively and efficiently work remotely. This contributes to employee safety in the current environment by avoiding unnecessary direct, personal contact with other people during the course of business.

Recently, we instructed our managers to use their discretion in directing employees to work remotely, but have not made a blanket declaration that everyone works from home. Within the next week, we will conduct a mandatory remote work day to identify any gaps in our ability to completely support your business if we have to take the unusual step of shutting down office access. Fortunately, we have already experienced significant weather events, such as record cold, record snow, typhoons and wind storms that have proven we can handle an individual office closure without disruption to you and your business.

Travel

Since we are such a global company and frequently travel to you, our clients, and to our different offices, we have instructed our employees to keep us informed about their recent travels to at-risk countries. In addition, we have already temporarily suspended all non-essential, business travel to China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Iran, South Korea and Italy, several weeks ago and are daily monitoring the list of affected countries and changing plans accordingly. Since we have instituted a professional video conferencing solution, we feel confident that over the next few months, there should be no degradation of our ability to support you even if we temporarily ban travel.

Health Practices

We encourage our employees to follow the recommended hygiene measures and to seek medical attention of a doctor when feeling unwell. Our offices are stocked with personal hygiene supplies to aid in keeping people who are in the office well. We have also postponed any large group gatherings to lessen the risk of people unknowingly infecting others.

We are ready to activate any additional necessary business continuity and emergency response plans, if needed, to ensure seamless operations throughout this situation.

We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation throughout this entire situation and will continue to keep you informed of any significant changes that may impact our business. If you have any questions please reach out to us at ce@cleverbridge.com.
