cleverbridge CEO Named EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2014 Finalist for Germany

cleverbridge, a global full-service e-commerce provider for software and cloud companies, announces that EY has named cleverbridge CEO and co-founder, Christian Blume, a finalist for EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2014 for Germany.

This was the second consecutive year Blume was selected as a finalist by the independent judging panel made up of business, academic and community leaders. Winners will be announced at a gala event on Nov. 7, 2014 at the German Historical Museum in Berlin.

Now in its 28th year, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Program recognizes high growth entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Recognized globally, this award recognizes the significant contributions of entrepreneurs who inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement. EY named fellow cleverbridge co-founder, Craig Vodnik, a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2014 in the Midwest.

“Being listed for the second consecutive year amongst the other distinguished and outstanding business leaders in Germany is truly humbling,” said Blume. “I am extremely proud of the industry leading e-commerce services and solutions we are providing to our clients today, grateful to all those who are contributing to our success, and excited about what the future holds.”

In 2005, cleverbridge founders set out to develop a powerful, flexible e-commerce solution. Based on extensive experience in the e-commerce industry, the founders saw an opportunity to improve upon existing technology solutions, client service, dispersed data platforms and analytics capability. With their experience and a growing confidence that companies did not want to choose between speed to market and customization, the team launched cleverbridge with offices in Germany and the U.S. Bootstrapped from the beginning, cleverbridge has been profitable since 2007 and has grown from the four founders to more than 250 employees between offices in Cologne, Chicago, San Francisco, and Tokyo today.

National award winners will be eligible for consideration for World Entrepreneur Of The Year. Each national jury nominates one winner from each participating country for it, and an international jury of distinguished experts then selects one of these nominees as World Entrepreneur Of The Year. The global winner will be announced at the annual awards gala in Monte Carlo in May 2015.
