cleverbridge to Host GOTO Night Cologne Edition

cleverbridge will host GOTO Night Cologne Edition: DevOps – Making the Transition with Fred George to be held April 16, 2018 at the cleverbridge world headquarters in Cologne. An industry consultant and developer for nearly 50 years, George will explore the need to go faster and its inhibitors – technology choices, staid business processes, and traditional organization structures and roles.

The industry is replete with fresh topics: DevOps, Cloud Computing, MicroServices, Lean Startup, Fullstack Developers, Agile Variations, and the like. To the astute observer, there is an obvious emerging theme around all these topics: Go Faster. During his session, George will share his unique insight based on his years of experience as a developer, consultant and speaker.

Fred George is an industry consultant, and has been writing code for nearly 50 years in over 75 languages. He has delivered projects and products across his career, and in the last decade alone, has worked in the US, India, China, and the UK. He started ThoughtWorksUniversity in Bangalore, India, based on a commercial programming training program he developed in the 1990’s. An early adopter of OO and Agile, George continues to impact the industry with his leading-edge ideas, most recently advocating MicroService Architectures and flat team structures (under the moniker of Programmer Anarchy). He travels the globe speaking and consulting on these topics.

GOTO Nights are held in the months before GOTO Amsterdam, a Software Development Conference held on June 18-20, 2018 around the topics of Digital Transformation, Privacy & Security. The meet-ups have many different topics, such as Agile, microservices, infrastructure, data and Spring.
