cleverbridge to Present at Direct Response Forum 2015
Fraud Prevention Team Leader Tim Russo to share insights on “EMV’s Impact on Ecommerce and Omni-Channel Merchants”
cleverbridge, a global full-service ecommerce provider for software and subscription companies, announces Fraud Prevention Team Leader Tim Russo will present at Direct Response Forum 2015 to be held August 3-5, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Russo will participate in the “EMV’s Impact on Ecommerce and Omni-Channel Merchants” panel discussion on August 5 from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Joining Russo on the panel will be Ned Canning, ecommerce product manager, Vantiv; Kevin Salerno, advisory engineer, Constant Contact; and Jim Friel, senior payments consultant, W. Capra. A storm of misconception swirls around the adoption of EMV in the United States. Although it has clear ramifications for brick-and-mortar businesses, its impact on card-not-present (CNP) and omni-channel merchants is much less obvious. This session will examine the magstripe-to-EMV conversion holistically, digging into both the direct and indirect effects on CNP merchants.
With over five years’ experience in the payments and ecommerce industry, Russo works with a talented and diverse team focused on fraud prevention techniques, manual review best practices, chargeback management and innovation projects at cleverbridge. Previously, he worked for two payment processors as a credit card, fraud and security investigator supporting various local and federal law enforcement agencies to identify fraud patterns and reacquire lost funds.
The Direct Response Forum brings together leading direct merchants, acquirers, card companies and service providers for two days of interactive panels, breakout sessions and roundtable discussions focused on key topics affecting the customer/CNP merchant community. The Direct Response Forum is a not-for-profit educational organization that is managed by a Board of Directors of executives from leading companies including Advance Auto, Affinion Group, AOL, Constant Contact, Netflix, LifeLock, Telogis, and Riot Games.
For twenty-six years the Direct Response Forum has provided premium educational sessions that give merchants relevant insight into current CNP rules, regulations and processes. The annual event has been the source some of the largest merchants in the world turn to for best practices on transaction processing, reducing fraud and handling chargebacks.
